“Miracles are thoughts. Thoughts can represent the lower or bodily level of experience, or the higher or spiritual level of experience. One makes the physical, and the other creates the spiritual.” (ACIM The Meaning of Miracles, Principle of Miracles #12)
“Heaven is a state of mind, not a place.” (Anita Moorjani)
“We are something very large that has mistakenly come to believe it is very small.” (Eben Alexander)
One Son. One Self. Many thoughts that appear to divide this One Self into realms of higher and lower experience. No thought, though, no matter how magnificent, can be this Oneness.
The miracle, or higher thought, is thought based in recognition of the innate Quality of the One Self. Higher thought, or right-minded thinking, comes from the right “part” of the split mind that remembers Source. The concept of a “right mind” is still illusion – nothing believed to be separate can exist in Oneness. Higher mind imagines the miracle that releases one from lower mind. Therefore, the miracle can only happen “on Earth”, where lower mind has made it’s home. The miracle relieves one of identification with lower mind.
And yet.
“Heaven and Earth shall pass away.” (ACIM) They will not remain separate states.
Ideas of Heaven and Earth are made up of higher and lower thought, i.e., consciousness. Consciousness is like the Child of God at Play, innumerably immersed in alternating experience, unaware of the One Self that Powers it, identifying with higher and lower thought, until Divinity calls one home. What is this Power? It is not something consciousness can accurately define. It is Love that goes far beyond experience, far beyond the miracle, and far beyond any written word’s ability to describe.
Back into this Love we go as One, as duality fades away.
