Q. Hello. What do you mean by “The eternal Self that God created”?
“A Course In Miracles” is also clear about this distinction between a Creator “Father” and a Created “Son”.
How is it that the Eternal Self apparently also has a Creation? Thanks.
A. Creator is eternally still Idea or Knowledge and creation is the seeming nature of Idea/Knowledge eternally thought into moving form. The Father is the Source of Idea and the Idea of Man is the Son. The Sonship is all ideas of creating things that arise with the expression of the Idea of Man. The Son, being an extension of the Father, also eternally creates an image, or seemingly moving body of Creation. The degree to which the Son is centered in the extension of the Father’s Idea dictates the experience of creation.
The sense of creation presently alludes to only a small section of the eternal cycle of the Self creating and implies duality or a separation from life by death. The senses as they are currently expressed limit direct Knowledge of how form is eternally manifested and from “where” it arises. Knowledge of ‘Oneness with the Father’ is knowledge of unity between ‘Father and Son’ or creator and created and this knowledge is obscured by unwarranted belief systems imagined by Man. Without manifesting the idea of death, there is only the manifestation of life.
To better understand the Father/Son unity, imagine with extra, extra, extra sensory perception that every single part of the universal body down to its tiniest particle is arising from the Point of the Self that absolutely centers it. Realize how thus centered, one could have a 360 degree informational “view” from every angle, all at once, while knowing one’s nonlinear Self to be the very center of everything linear. You may ask, why don’t we currently have 360 degree perception? The answer is that the belief in separation locates the still fulcrum of the Self off center, creating a distorted or limited view and experience of the whole.
To use Russell’s terminology along with ACIM’s, the Father manifests the Sonship from the still and energetically balanced “fulcrum” of Idea. Upon the fulcrum of His Self, the Father places mental “levers” (the male and female aspects of electricity or seemingly divided Magnetic Light) that concentrate and decentrate the one Quality of Light into interchanging qualities. God’s Knowledge thought into its parts (creation) is the Known Quality of Being Light. Light is qualitatively Love. The qualities of unification in Love with the Father are all the Sons of God know as we create with God.
Centering every single ‘black hole-photon’ or ‘light-unit’ of form as the Fulcrum of the Self or Interchanging Point of one’s Power, one forever creates a balanced image ‘with the Father’. ACIM descrbes balanced thinking of Knowledge into its equal parts, or creating with the Father, as ‘true creating’, and unblanced thinking as miscreating. The effects of unbalanced thinking/miscreating constitute the seeming nightmare of a world that is currently perceived by the masses. A balanced body runs on the autopilot of the will to extend Love and is known to be under full Self-Control as it unfolds and refolds to unfold again. ‘Incarnation’ is not a starting point but a continuum of the expression of Life. Life and death of the image are the equal halves of this continuum and each feeds the other seamlessly. A balanced body expresses the Light of Idea at rest in Source. It’s qualitative nature is that of ecstatic interchange. It’s life half interchanges with its death half as easily as waking with the rising sun and sleeping with the setting sun. Awareness continues unimpeded through both halves of the cycle. Life is eternally lived.
