The following is a re-contextualization of the Christian Bible verse Mark 11:25-26.
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25-26)
Jesus/The Holy Spirit resolves this projection of duality onto God in ACIM: there is no actual reality to sin, the Son of God has not been self-spun into something he is not. The Son of God is guiltless of the idea of sin, and therefore the Father knows not the meaning of “needing forgiveness”. The Holy Spirit looks past all concept of “trespass” to the Truth of the Christ in All and that is how we are “re-unified” (in quotations because the Son of God is Unified – “lack” of Unity is the “myth”) with God as His one Son. “Forgiveness” is necessary only within the domain of man, who believes himself to live in a kind of spin-off from oneness with Source. Therefore, the appearance of the belief in separation from God (the body, appearing as if spinning through spacetime) is all that need be “forgiven”. Forgive the Son of God for believing he is guilty for spinning a body, and surrender the effects of the belief. Spin is not a sin; it is simply not the eternal Stillness of Source.
Essence needs no forgiveness. Accept the Atonement, the fact that the essential Son of God is Guiltless, and that is all that need “be done” for one’s part in the chain of Atonement to be Known to be complete. The above Bible verse is one that, by its misinterpretation of God as if subject to man’s belief (anthropomorphization), contributes to the sense of separation as if it were possible to be something made by God that God could reject. And yet God never rejects. God/Love/Self/Source allows the idea of spin, but doesn’t “trigger” it.
The Holy Spirit ever works to resolve such issues of misinterpretation; one can choose in every moment to listen to Him vs ego. Ego is the voice that projects one away from God via the belief in the concept of “guilt for having s(p)inned away from Truth”. Let the entire concept of guilt over s(p)in go. Forgive oneself for what one believes to have spun of oneself apart from God, and realize one’s true birthright as the Son, wherein the idea of spin never was. Guilt has no value but to keep one feeling separated from Stillness.
The Son is not spun into a being away from His Own Self; He is still only Love. In A Course in Miracles Jesus/The Holy Spirit says, “You are the work of God, and His work is wholly lovable and wholly loving. This is how a man must think of himself, because this is what he is.”
