There are two thought systems in consciousness: one that thinks and acts for ego or the belief in separation, and one that thinks and acts for God, or the Knowledge of union with Source.
The thought system that is based on listening to the voice for ego is one that may bring some temporary forms of pleasure, but always counters pleasure with suffering. The thought system based on listening to the Holy Spirit, or the Voice for God, always heralds only Peace.
Ego says to “use yourself to get more for yourself”, regardless of the consequences, when all is already Given. One need only tap into existing Power to be relieved of all sense of need.
The Holy Spirit says Be Still and Know (God-Given Peace).
Free will says one can choose to let go of what seems to have been gotten, and Know only what’s always been Given.
