“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain,” said the Wizard of Oz. Good advice. The man in the picture has no meaning. The man in the picture is a time capture, a still-frame of a projection away from God/Source, having nothing to do with Self-Inquiry or the Truth it uncovers. Why give the picture any power?
All power is within. Look past all appearances to the one Essence that is shared by all.
All great avatars, or founders of religion, say the same essential thing: “Surrender everything to God”. That is the very meaning of the title of the Hindu bible Bhagavad-Gita. The book is about “how to surrender everything to God”. When the teaching of surrender is applied without exception, enlightenment is the inevitable consequence.
Applying the ultimate advice will enlighten the mind. But the advice must be applied. There must be Self-Inquiry.
