The original state

Enlightenment avails nothing; it merely destroys a transitory manifestation, but not the creative impulse.” (Carl Jung)

Having chosen to believe in a body as the source of life, having chosen to outsource Happiness to the forgetful flesh, it seems one has left the spiritual world for the material and has thus seemingly become entangled in it. The “temporary manifestation” Jung speaks to is manifested as part and parcel of this false identification, and the “creative impulse” is then believed to be personally powered, controlled and possessed. God/Source/Creator (the actual Power) becomes temporarily obscured by the entanglement of belief in powering a false identity.

Enlightenment does not service the material, it “avails nothing”. It is the original state.
