Metatron’s Cube vs Russell’s Cubic Wavefield

What is the difference between Metatron’s Cube and the Russell Cube-Sphere?

In today’s spiritual and sacred geometry circles, many teachings blend symbolic geometry with wave-based science, in many cases without realizing they’re “mixing levels” by merging effect with cause. One such merging is Metatron’s Cube with The Cubic Wave Field of the Russell Cosmogeny.

While beautiful and thought-provoking, Metatron’s Cube is not the same as Walter Russell’s Cubic Wave Field. In fact, they represent opposite ends of the creative spectrum.

🧭 Why One Must Discern Between Cause and Effect

In the expanding world of sacred geometry and spiritual science, many teachings intentionally or unintentionally conflate effect with cause – mistaking symbolic forms as sources of creation. Two examples of this are Metatron’s Cube, often used in spiritual visualization, and Walter Russell’s Cubic Wave Field, which maps the divine mechanics of wave-based creation. While they may appear similar in geometric aesthetics, they are fundamentally distinct in purpose, origin, and spiritual significance.

Metatron’s Cube is effect and cannot create, and Russell’s Cube-Sphere is the cause of effect

🌀 The Cubic Wave Field: Creation from Stillness

Walter Russell’s Cubic Wave Field is a representation of Divine Cause. It originates in Still Magnetic Light – the zero point of divine knowing – and expresses through the balanced interchange of dual light waves radiating from that center. The structure is a cube-sphere, which serves as the Creator’s tool for generating the illusion of form through rhythmic balanced motion.

Spirals within the cubic wave field are circular and balanced, always returning to their center. This invisible geometry reflects the Law of Rhythmic Balanced Interchange – the universal law of giving and regiving. Motion is generated inward and outward simultaneously, simulating equilibrium. In Russell’s view, matter is not a source, but an illusion created by Mind-imaged motion, a wave illusion projected through a centering seed point.

The Cubic Wave Field functions as a spiritual physics. It is not a metaphor. It is law.

🔺 Metatron’s Cube: Symbol of Reflected Effect

In contrast, Metatron’s Cube belongs to the realm of effect. It arises from the Flower of Life, a symbolic arrangement of overlapping circles that generate all five Platonic solids. Metatron’s Cube reflects effect, not its generative cause. Its structure centers around intersecting lines and shapes – but this center is symbolic, not still.

The spirals related to Metatron’s Cube, such as the Fibonacci spiral, are unbalanced, radiating outward without return. While aesthetically harmonious and golden in proportion, they violate the law of balanced interchange by favoring radiation over gravitation. As such, they represent form in process of decay or growth, but never equilibrium.

Metatron’s Cube is a powerful tool for visual meditation, and it holds great value as a symbol. Yet it is not a scientific model of how motion is born. It reflects the geometry of effect, not the laws of cause.

🔍 One’s Responsibility To Know the Difference

In many modern spiritual teachings, there is a tendency to use effects perceived through the senses – such as sacred geometry, golden ratios, and mathematical beauty – to claim mystic insight or divine authorship. But the true mystic path is not one of amplifying reflections. It is one of returning to stillness, to the Seed of Idea within the Cube, from which all reflections arise.

The golden ratio, though beautiful, is not balanced. It is expansion without return. It symbolizes a phase of motion – not its source. Just as a mirror image cannot see itself, a projection of form cannot regenerate itself without being re-centered in the One.

🌱 The Path of Balance

To follow the mystic’s path is to turn away from fascination with form and return to the still, centering light within. We do not create by manipulating geometry. We create by aligning with the Source of geometry – the Desire to extend Love through balanced interchange.

“Man must know that his power lies in the stillness of his centering Self and not in the motion by means of which he manifests that stillness.” — Walter Russell, The Secret of Light

Let us build not on symbol. Let our vision be rooted in Cause. From that foundation, we may rightly reflect the Light of the One.
