Rest in the Kingdom of Balanced Thinking

The sense-based thinking that runs the masses in search of material wealth cannot be carried forward. All that is seemingly made manifest is based in Mind, and only the Self-realized qualities of knowledge can be carried forward. That which is sensed is either compression or expansion of the thought waves that produce the illusion of manifest thought- what is there to be gained or lost by material possessions but the sensations of those two seemingly divided directions of motion? There is nothing but the effects of motion to be seemingly gained or lost for a period of non-existent time, for all things seeming simultaneously return to the voidness of their origin in stillness as they seem to appear in marching time.

All happiness is in knowing the qualities of the stillness of the cause that thinks to divide the stillness into balanced states of seeming motion. All happiness is in the wholeness of simultaneously thinking to conceive and complete idea in Mind through the balanced thinking to manifest a body in motion to simulate the still life of mental concept. There is no happiness to be found in the divided sensing of the simultaneously compressing and expanding body: happiness is knowing the wholeness of mental balance that backs the balanced expression of that body. Happiness is in the forgetting of the expression of life’s seeming duality between compression and expansion and the realization of the true life at rest that thinks the body into seeming being in a balanced fashion. Mentally knowing perfect balance between the motions of compression and expansion is happiness.

If knowing the mental balance backing the expression of a balanced body is happiness, what can there be but a false sense of joy, or a false sense of sorrow, in the attachment or aversion to the seeming duality of gaining or losing what is sensed of the material world? There is no truth to sense-based thinking that can only be based in the sensing of the seeming division between the two opposing-yet-unified states of motion that provide the illusion of idea in motion. There is no reality to motion. There is no identity to it. Reality and identity belong to Mind as static idea, not to the forms of idea expressed by the illusion of motion.

The identity and reality of Mind is never projected from the stillness of cause to the world of moving effects. So why project the Self as if to be contained by the world of illusion? Why say, ‘the Self is expanded, or compressed, dead or alive’ when the Self is still and never becomes the states of motion that comprise the illusion of embodiment?

Rest in the balanced thinking of the Self that is purely mental, purely idea – and know the eternal ecstasy of the Kingdom of Balanced Thinking that is forever within.

  1. Hello, Darcie.

I have a question regarding “A Course in Miracles”

The Course mentions the fact that in “Heaven” there is both a Creator-Father and a Created-Son.

Is this merely symbolic or is there actually such a distinction in Heaven?

And, if not symbolic, what exactly is the nature of this relationship?

    Thank you.

    🙂

    1. Hi Alex,
“I am not a body, I am free. For I am still as God created me.” (ACIM)
In the State in the fire, I knew my Self to be one with God and it was totally ineffable, totally indescribable. The State was qualitatively out of this world because it wasn’t based in sensing the illusion of motion or division – it was the Heaven of knowing ecstasy interchanging with ecstasy in stillness. The world, the body, the universe completely disappeared into the never-divided unity between the stillness and the thought-wave “motion” (known as ecstasy) that is reflected as the illusion of the world that the senses detect and this unity was known qualitatively as Love interchanging with Love, in Love. Nothing had ever been (the world had never started) as it was known that nothing is ever created (the senses detect only the illusion of reflection), and yet I was wholly aware of ongoing creativity/creating. When I “returned” to both sensing and knowing, I knew the world to be a total unreality of the senses – it is like a painting forever in progress and neither the Idea backing it nor the Painter who thinks the Idea into its sensed records through action and reaction is ever manifested. I knew my Self to be one with the Self of God Who manifests knowledge but never becomes the manifestation of knowledge.
In the State, I knew my Self to be inseparably one with the fulcrum of knowledge of the entire Idea of Creation and the desire backing the extension of balanced Love that is the Creator thinking what is known into seemingly moving, interchanging parts to create the illusion of stillness in motion that is the painting of Creation. I knew in the purest way that I am God’s Idea and thus am inseparable from Who God is. And yet I also, in knowing the Source of my Self, knew that I am not the Source of my Self.
Idea in the Mind of God is the “Self as God created”. Idea is still, changeless, and that’s what is meant in ACIM by “I am ‘still’ as God created me”. It literally means one is still and not the body of motion that one is painting with God “in His image” or without God in one’s own image.
The Idea of Man is “God’s Son”. God’s Son has a Way of thinking that is the same as God’s Way, and when he thinks that Way he is creating with God, he knows what he is, and he knows the body to merely be an effect of thinking what he is.
All distinctions and therefore relationships are based solely in the sensing of the effects of thinking and the ego’s labeling of them. The senses do not operate in the equilibrium of the Divine Trinity of knowledge and thinking that is the cause of sensed effects so there are no distinctions, no relationships, no ego. There can not be in the absolute State; it is known to be undivided and whole.
However, one has not created one’s Self or the laws backing Self-expression, God has. There is a nonlinear Father/Son “relationship” or hierarchy due to the fact that Man is God’s Idea, not man’s. In the State I knew this without words. The closest I can come to describing with words the direct relationship with the Father is to describe the intense, beyond the senses gratitude for my Life in the Father.

      1. Thank you very much. This is the best explanation of the metaphysics of ACIM I have read. It is great to read someone’s explanation of it who has actually experienced it. Usually it is people who have no clue because they haven’t actually KNOWN Heaven. They give their intellectual opinions on it without actually having the firsthand Knowledge, yet they word it in a way that implies they do.

I have a question about healing, is it possible to heal the body completely, even to the point of remaining a certain biological age indefinitely? I think ACIM talks about having a healthy body that is then gently laid aside when it is no longer needed, something along those lines… 🙂

      2. My pleasure, Alex. I am thankful for the opportunity to speak to the State. I will respond to your question about healing in a new blog post shortly.

  2. A Course in Miracles is steeped in Christian language, which is why it uses words like that. Words are merely symbols of symbols, as the Course says. There is no literal Creator and Created, it is definitely symbolic. Reality is non-dual infinite eternal BEING without differences or multiplicity. There is no creation, for that would imply change.

The Absolute doesn’t change and never could. It is impossible, which is why the separation never happened.

    Quoting from the Course:

“Oneness is simply the idea God is. And in His Being, He encompasses all things. No mind holds anything but Him. We say “God is,” and then we cease to speak, for in that knowledge words are meaningless. There are no lips to speak them and no part of mind sufficiently distinct to feel that it is now aware of something not itself. It has united with its Source, and like its Source Itself, it merely is.

We cannot speak nor write nor even think of this at all. It comes to every mind when total recognition that its will is God’s has been completely given and received completely. It returns the mind into the endless present, where the past and future cannot be conceived. It lies beyond salvation—past all thought of time, forgiveness, and the holy face of Christ. The Son of God has merely disappeared into His Father, as his Father has in him. The world has never been at all. Eternity remains a constant state.”

The path to this state is total forgiveness, which is really about recognizing that the world never began in the first place. Do not let theology delay you, simply live your life and be guided by the Holy Spirit (your True Self).

I wish you well on your journey.

    1. Hi, Hannah. Thanks for your input. Even your quote from the Course talks about a “Source” and says “like its Source”, indicating that there is indeed some sort of Creator-Creation relationship.
