Bodily generosity is limited by time, space and energy. The generosity of the Christ is unlimited.
There’s only so much that protoplasm can do. A bag of water and bones does not make up the Son of God; it is not a symbol of His capacity to extend what He is by Creation. The God-given generosity of the Christ is belittled by the mind that fragments a portion of it by the physical, and then expects it to act like the Supreme.
Guilt over these self-imposed limitations runs rampant and keeps the mind seemingly gravitated to the flesh, the Guiltlessness of the Christ forgotten.
Extend the mind beyond the physical to join with other minds; forgetting the body and identifying with shared Source that is only Love is the only way to be a generous mind. Joining is in Mind so extend what already Is; bodies cannot join. Forcing the mind to fragment and live in a nervous system subject to “sacrifice in the name of generosity” puts a serious kink in the natural propensity to extend the Christ.
“You cannot really give anything but love to anyone or anything, nor can you really receive anything but love from them.” (ACIM text 231). The body cannot give or receive love; putting focus on it as if it can only limits knowledge of the Christ’s extension.
Extend the mind beyond the body to help; extend the mind beyond the body to heal.
